About Regine Costello

Babylon Mood's Director and Choreographer since 1994, Regine has been dancing for most of her life.  Hera early dance training focused on classical Flamenco, but she soon branched out into other ethnic dance arts, including Mexican Folklorico, Polynesian Dance, and Middle Eastern Dance (Belly Dance). Regine began teaching at age 17 and has been a Belly Dance Instructor for more than 20 years.  She received Masters level Training in Egyptian and Arabic Belly Dance and holds the Fat Chance Belly Dance Instructor Certification in American Tribal Belly Dance.  Regine is recognized widely as an innovator in the field of belly dance choreography. 

Regine is the recipient of the City of Torranc Excellence in Arts Award and has been recognized by the California State Legislature for her work in dance instruction for developmentally disabled adults.  Regine is also a seven-time Belly dancer of the Universe Competition Trophy Winner as a solo artist and with Babylon Mood.  She also successfully Coached six of her students to become Belly Dancer of the Universe Competition Trophy winners in their own right. Regine loves to teach and throughly enjoys bringing out the dancer in every student, irregardless of age, prior experience or body type.
